Our Team
Katherine Bones – Manager
Katherine has recently celebrated working at Preschool for ten years! Starting as a practitioner in 2013 and becoming Manager in September 2021.
Dawn Cockburn
Dawn started working with us in April 2022. She has an Early Years Degree and Early Years Teacher Status. Dawn has previously managed larger settings in Macclesfield, and has years of experience and a wealth of knowledge in the early years sector. In July 2023, Dawn took over as our Special Education Needs Coordinator. Dawn has 2 SEN children of her own, so as well as being incredibly knowledgeable, she really appreciates the journey of an SEN parent.
Harriet Brocklehurst
Harriet is the newest member of our team, starting with us in September 2023. Harriet is a qualified teacher, and joined us after working for 10 years as a primary reception teacher. Harriet lives in Byley with her young family.
Mardi Brown
Mardi started working at Chelford Preschool in 2017, and she is a firm favourite with our children and their families. Mardi lives in the Chelford with her husband and 2 children who have both attended Chelford Primary School. Mardi brings a little bit of her Aussie charm and sunshine into Preschool every day! Mardi has a Level 3 Early Years Practitioner Qualification with Distinction.
Katy Booth
Katy joined us as Chair of the Committee in 2019, before becoming a member of the staff team in 2021. All of Katy’s three boys have been through the Preschool, so she also has experienced being a preschool parent as well as a member of the team. ‘Smiley Katy’ is another firm favourite with our children and their families. Katy has a Level 3 Early Years Practitioner Qualification with Distinction.
Millie Whittaker
Millie completes the Staff Team. Millie has been with us since September 2022, and is the only member of the team who has attended Chelford Village Preschool as a child! When not working hard in Preschool, Millie makes the most amazing cakes . . . which we are always delighted to taste test. This year Millie is following in the footsteps of Mardi and Katy as she embarks on her Level 3 Early Years Practitioner Qualification.
